Wintergreen Barberry
Wintergreen Barberry, also known as the ‘Berberis Julianae’, transforms throughout the seasons for year-round interest. In the spring, petite lemon flowers start to come alive in clusters throughout the plant and last through the summer. Later, the center of the leaves darkens to lava red, a fitting look for the fall months. By winter, the foliage continues to darken until the whole plant is painted in crimson. This shrub will bounce back after being aggressively pruned, growing up to 10 feet tall, making it a good screen or barrier hedge.
