Spring Grove Arborvitae (Thuja plicata ‘Grovepli’) is a fast-growing evergreen tree that makes an excellent privacy hedge. This tree is known for its cold hardiness and can survive -25 degree temperatures. Spring Grove grows in a tight pyramidal habit and works nicely as a fast-growing privacy screen in suburban locations. Thuja Spring Grove is deer resistant.
Thuja plicata ‘Grovepli’ thrives in moist, well-draining soil conditions and can adapt to a range of soil pH. If you decide to prune your tree, it is best to do so in late fall before dormancy in the winter. We recommend that you fertilize your tree in early spring with a slow-release fertilizer made for evergreens.
